The sheer volume of data available from EDI has made it necessary to create several Data Product Levels which can provide users with as little or as much data as they need.

Summary (Entry) level: The Summary Edition provides the most basic degree of information supplied by EDI. This product can be used to build upon for various forecasting and planning application.

Full Database level: The Full Database provides the tools and information for medium and long term forecasting and planning. These products are often bespoke and are specific to the user in question.

Econometric Modelling level: The Econometric level provides the tools and information for industry level, national, and international medium and long term forecasting and planning. These products are bespoke and are specific to the products/services and/or geographic reach of the user in question.

The Economic Data Institute Publications currently available to non-members

There are 3 publications available for each geographic area, which provides increasingly detailed data:-

1. A Free Brochure on the Social & Economic Indicators in each geographic area can be downloaded.

2. A Summary Edition of the Social & Economic Indicators data is available as a PDF publication.

This provides Summary data on the Social & Economic Indicators for the geographic area in question.

The Summary Edition is designed to provide certain data for the geographic area, and this data might be sufficient for most users and thereby reduce their need to obtain the Full Database which contains highly detailed information in Access databases and Excel spreadsheets.

The Summary Edition costs €249 (retail). The Summary Editions are produced on an annual basis.

3. The Full Database provides the complete data for the Social & Economic Indicators in each geographic area.

The Full Database costs €4950 (annual retail) for each geographic area. This is a dynamic database which updates in real-time, or on a monthly refresh, as dictated by the prevailing economic conditions.

Please Note:

Potential users of the Full Database must first review and understand the Free Brochure, then acquire and read the Summary Edition, before proceeding to the Full Database. This process ensures that users are fully aware of the specifications and contents of the data in the Full Database.

The EDI is not an educational organisation and cannot, and will not, offer retail users support in the use or interpretation of the data; it is assumed that users know how to understand, implement and use the data. Furthermore, EDI may in some circumstances decline to supply the Full Database if we believe that the buyer is unable to sufficiently understand or use the database.
